Through his education and experience the mountain guide is highly trained to manage the risks involved with mountaineering. Unfortunately as in life it is not possible to eliminate all risk. This means that the professional mountain guide has the training to make the sound decisions in difficult situations.
The high safety standards are mandatory part of the IFMGA training and these help to ensure the safety of the guide and their clients.
Climbing, mountaineering and skiing are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.
